US Market:
Range of hospitals in the US currently either: 1) about to start product evaluation; 2) doing
evaluation; 3) completed evaluation pending procurement; or 4) ordering. PNV is now starting to see repeat orders in a range of $10-$50k/month depending upon the account. Sales cited as good in July and August. Orders now trending towards the smaller and mid-sized sheets as opposed to earlier experience where the larger sheets were used for only catastrophic burns/wounds – increased purchase of smaller sheets is likely to smooth sales.
PNV sees that it still has some distance to go to replace the incumbent product from Integra which is more expensive and has high rates of infection.
Currently around 40% of US trauma hospitals use the Integra product – PNV starting to see some evidence of hospitals replacing the Integra product with its own. Only one US hospital that has completed evaluation has not moved to procurement.
