Thanks GGA, I'll look up Re-Timer. Good if it is a UNE initiative; they, as well as other more regional based unis, run as the poor cousin to the more high flying Melb Uni, ANU etc.

(just looked it up: Flinders. Good on 'em!)

Just looking at these issues from a lay, birds eye view, homo sapiens has modified and refined so much of his life in the conscious hours, it seems only natural that fine tuning the unconscious would be an inevitable progression.

(and putting the investment goggles on, getting in other than at basement level might be way too late.... not speaking specifically about Re-Timer or polyphasic devices, but the whole sleep industry in general...interesting times).

Side issue: bought a night vision monocular the other day. Only 2x strength, 120 metre range, haven't used it really successfully land wise yet, but it was great to take down to the boardwalk on a local estuary and watch all the crabs, close in, (that were totally invisible without this device). Pretty sure they used to be illegal (this one, it seems, ?emits, or detects, infra-red light...in the queue for more serious analysis later).
