It's convenient for Australians to want to base it all on population, which is really very convenient for us, but quite simplistic.
If population plays a part, so does climate, standard of living, money spent on sport per head of population, cost to individuals etc etc etc.
The easiest way to deal with it is to just 'get over it'. GB beat us. Big deal. Good on 'em.
I'd rather spend the money becoming a republic. That would be the biggest win if you ask me.
Just imagine the Poms having an Australian head of state.....lol. I know it's related to history, but it's time to make the monarchy history for Australia.
