Having worked as a CFO for listed companies I know that auditors can make your life merry hell. However it is extremely rare that amendments to accounts are not sorted out BEFORE announcing results (half year or full).
Could simply be that PRR is one of the <1% of companies that have to amend results, or the timing of this announcement is in fact interesting....
