Market in India is almost zero. Whilst the middle classes are growing, they have regular access to very fresh A2 milk, literally straight from the neighborhood cows. Logistics in India are just horrible and if the product did become valued there, large amounts woudl just disappear.

Indonesia has a growing middle class but is still pretty much a poor majority that couldn't afford A2 IF. Their logistics are not too bad, however they too have access to fresh A2 milk.

Japan is a highly developed market with a rapidly aging population that will require an influx of births to keep up with the death rate. They are bound to traditional brands, although targeting the youth/young parents may work. They have highly developed Logistics, however the market is not as big as you may think due to the low birthrate.

The rest of Asia except the Philippines have issues or are too small.

Phillipines have a high birth rate, expanding middle class and population enough to be a target. Their logistics are just OK and they have access to fresh A2. At this point they are worthy investigation, but it would be a hard slog to convince parents to spend a large sum on IF, unless it was discounted into the market.

Also seems to be a similar make up to Chinese market, i.e. same brands in there and well researched.

Might have to watch out for teh other players who appear to be playing dirty however. Marketing the right message would be key.

The Department of Health in the Philippines has said it will investigate the actions of four milk formula companies, after the Guardian exposed the illegal and clandestine methods used to market products to mothers.

Officials in the DOH confirmed they had called an emergency meeting and had also passed on the violations uncovered by the Guardian to the Food and Drug Authority, which holds the power to formally investigate and hand out financial punishment.

Representatives from Nestlé, Abbott, Mead Johnson and Wyeth (now owned by Nestlé) were described as a constant presence in hospitals in the Philippines, where only 34% of mothers exclusively breastfeed in the first six months of their child’s life.
