I also wanted to remind the faithful that these gas shows are from the Strzlekis which are below the Latrobe formations from whence the oil/gas is obtained offshore. From memory LKO geologists have long thought the oil in fact travels from offshore to these onshore sites. But to me, looking ahead, we may yet get the real bonanza from the Rintoul Sands, below the Strzlekis. A couple of years ago, Karoon got oil shows in West Gippsland from the Rintouls and LKO have yet to put a drill down to these depths.
Still, that's for the future and in the meantime tight gas shows are prevalent in all drill holes.
