Meerkat, you seem like a clever chap, and I am here to learn as much as anything, so please humour me! I have "A" levels in Economics, Statistics and Geography, and did a degree in the latter, over 20 years ago. I've been in research for quite some time.
I have only fairly recently been involved in investing in the spec end of the market. Made some good money on NXPI, NFLX, CSCO and a few others over the last couple of years, but wanted to see quicker returns on my investments.
Your point about the sp as a monetary figure - sure, the SP indicates what the "market" feels about / thinks of the company, and positive price movements and volumes etc encourages new investors and gets people interested. The market cap for TNG being over $100m would probably be a good indicator for prospective investors too.
So can you tell me what you are getting at specifically, if it's not what I've replied above please! Cryptic answers are of no use to me, I'm a 1's and 0's kind of guy!
