I think that we should be open to the possibility that the change will be rapid. Just imagine you are the Minister of mining in Argentina. Company X comes to you with a plan that will extract 40% of the lithium from some salar. Another company is offering to extract the same lithium but at an 80% rate. Your government is now dependent on income from lithium which one are you choosing?
The change from horses to cars happened in the proverbial blink of an eye.
