    You are right, unfortunately, but there MUST be a way.

    Should we just accept that large firm can make something in a miniscule wage paying country, flog it to us at a high rate, then pay no tax because they are based in a tax haven or have some ridiculous scheme like some IT companies where there is an over the top charge that reduces profits in the country of sale?

    Can we think of ways to stop letting the banks have our heads on the chopping block?

    I recall a time when many were employed in manufacturing in this country. I wonder these days whether we could make anything if there was a war. Do we think the "financial services" people will supply us with anything useful? There are 450,000 people working in "financial services" in this country.

    Reducing taxes is part of the solution, I suppose, but wealth is being concentrated in fewer and fewer hands, hands that massage themselves, massage politicians, law makers.... some can buy up smaller companies, squeeze out small manufacturers.

    There must be a way of bringing back a fairer system.
