An easy fix to qustionable yields and survival rates would be to have these independently verified by a reputable forestry consultancy firm. For a company of this size they should be able to afford such a service.
An easy fix to questionable market price for the timber would be to put up 10 lots of 10 tonne each (100 tonne) into a very public and well advertised open auction rather than a closed tender process.
