I was through work, aware of the Ponzi schemes in detail.
Many of us also got burnt .
This is nothing like those. It is a company that right from the start went out of its way to be seen as something special and a long way from the Timbertop, forest Enterprises etc .
Sandalwood is not just timber. It is much more expensive and the barriers to entry are very different as is the growing and harvesting. The effort put in to IP and getting most out of the oil has been intensive. This shorter chose a propitious day for us all to hang their dirt. All that hard work since the late nineties and one writer who did not do his due diligence has done this. Sure there are vulnerabilities, but why is it that analysts for instance, accept a company like zero has no profit AT ALL has loans but that's ok they say as they are bedding down capital expenditure and establishing themselves!!!! This has been tragic. Not only for us and Wilson but our north where it is contributing to tourism, and enjoyment and training.
I went through some other companies at similar phases and thought how easy it could be to write something similar. What made it easy here was the legacy of those two decades of timber tree schemes.
