I plan to put 100 k into an oil stock on Monday Morning at market open. I had intended to go for STO. I am happy to leave it there for six months at least. I believe as the oil price slowly climbs during the next few weeks our local oil stocks will do well.
Why do I think Oil will slowly rise , Troubled times are escalating in the Middle East , China looking to QE , The United States in growth phase , rigs shutting down, capex among the majors is down and so it goes. History is a great teacher. The above issues have sent oil skyrocketing many times through history. What’s different now ?
The only difference I can see is the planet now boasts more oil guzzling machinery than ever before in it’s history. People have more money than ever before to buy oil to go into the engines of these machines, people have more time on their hands than ever before to drive these machines , Asia is on the move , there are people driving cars in China whom a few years ago were sitting on the back of a bullock, the number of Gas Guzzling jets increases every single day at an alarming rate.
Throw an oil scare in the middle East among all of this and Oil is going one way , NORTH.
