What is the use of the oil industry protesting...?
The money is currently with the other side. Best to tread quietly while the Greta Bumbleburgs are making the wheels squeak and encouraging politically correct institutions to serve out platitudes.....
Oil consumption is over 90mb a day and was still growing till this current global crisis hit....there are plenty of available statistics. It will return as you say. Its not going to vanish in the next 10 years.....maybe 30 years but reserves arent being replaced quick enough and the major oil businesses know that.
Oilers with current booked reserves should always catch a bid and will grow in value as the USD depreciates due to the FX trades between the USD and EURO/YEN unwinding now that the FED is bringing rates down to their levels. It was the perfect carry trade .....but no more.
