More snow means more ice flows, because that is what feeds the glaciers. But the glaciers take 1000s of years to reach the sea, and the dramatic increase in snow fall has happened over the last 100 years, and more so in the past decades. Add to this the record low temperatures that are being reported and the satellite images of the sea ice extent near record highs, and it impossible to conclude that Antarctic is getting smaller in terms of ice mass.
