BB, couldn't disagree with your observation with relation to species. Plenty of them will survive, some will disappear and some will shine - is HAW one of them? Who knows but it might.
As to HAW sp, the players accumulate about 100-150mill shares at a lower price than sell them at a slightly higher price. They do not take into account any fundamentals (I think - HAW is due to a spike).
As to OUR sp, it seems the spike of sp was caused by the new substantial shareholders who want a quick profit regardless whether or not this company is worth it -0.017 (overvalued and the small investors are suck in) 30/06/2009 Edensor Nominees Pty Limited 273,251,894 33.54 28/07/2009 AXIS Consultants Pty Ltd 82,880,000 10.17 There are plenty of shares to sell off (wonder what they will do if there were no buyers)
