Must say i have been adjusting my trading/long term portfolio away from the small cap sector and spending the time on the mid-cap stocks.
While it has served me well over the last 5 years i feel the quality of so many speculative companies now listed is extremely poor.......only time i hear from them is for a capital raising to pay their unjustified high salaries or they are granting themselves another 3m options closer to the now lower share price. How so many directors pay themseleves $200,000-$300,000 per annum when nearly all their work is outsourced (drilling, etc) is astonishing. What do they do all day ???
The mid cap/larger shares have liquidity, a touch more transparency, cash flow and easy leverage. Still it aint a perfect sector though.
Will undoubtedy continue to play in the spec end but the greater amount of time and effort is now concentrated elsewhere.
