when is the govmint going to acknowledge the plight of landlords with vacant properties? is it fair most landlords are collecting rent, but others have empty properties and losing even more money? the govmint should pay such landlords an allowance to make up for their suffering. some investors bought properties in moranbah, port hedland and chinchilla on the expectation of earning a reasonable return, now facing vacancy rates of up to 20%, govmint should be paying them the going rate of rent in recognition of the service they provide.
