    @Pepper70; well said!

    Countries including Singapore and Israel are looking the Medusa square in the face even as the US is being eaten alive by it. Nor are the likes of Russia or Iran immune - they've massive outbreaks to contend with.

    Hopefully NSW has managed to stop the current outbreak in its tracks, but it too is only a couple of irresponsible people and a couple of days away from copping what Victoria is dealing with.

    Are there lessons to be learnt? You betcha and here a few of them:
    1. Australia's private sector cannot be trusted - it's hopelessly compromised by its for-profit function.
    2. Australia's workforce has become casualised and under-paid to the point that it's now a major threat to public health.
    3. Australia's $For $Profit private sector aged care is an absolute disgrace and requires a 100% overhaul following a RC into why so many have become COVID-19 graveyards.
    4. The role of media shock jocks and other 'denialists' in fomenting community rebellion against rulings by medical health authorities need to be subject to a judicial investigation.
