Not sure where you got this number? Average across all vehicles is something like 60kg of lithium per vehicle. Therfore 500,000 vehicles is only 30,000t of LCE. That's about 15% of current production.
But it's still obvious how quick the shift will effect demand and supply can't be added as easily. We might find balance eventually but it is some way off despite what some 'analysts' suggest.
