Sharemarket often dips to just before Christmas, sometimes dip extends past Christmas to New Year.
But generally Santa rally kicks in just before Christmas and lasts to about the middle of January.
Sharemarket usually rises on low volumes during Santa rally.
There are exceptions, Santa rally doesn't always happen.
And individual stocks can go against market trend.
