I've been thinking of doing that mechanic - been looking into buying and selling pressure in the pre market. A very basic indicator of this in PlS that seems to be quite predictive is the relative change in depth for each of buyers and sellers in the night b4 vs pre market (rather than simply the total volume in buy and sell depth). Interestingly while buying selling pressure in pre markets predicts close with greater than 50% likelihood there are very few indicators for it.
