"No one ever went broke taking some profits"
is about as useful as:
"Stock market is transfer of money from impatient to patient"
People go broke when trading all the time taking profits.
It's Achilles heel of new traders: "cutting profit short" eventually losses outweigh "taking some profits".
Same as new LT's investors Achilles heel of patiently waiting until their profits turn to losses.
Something to keep in mind
So much for phrases.
People have their own investment goals and strategies. What might work for someone isn't guarantee to work for next person.
