on the news (abc24 - so most likely also on the web site) there was a story about early "popper outers" into the world - and watso was one of them... ok, watso cannot recall popping out himself, but has to rely on word of mouth.
it seems to be that early "popper outers" - ie babies who pop out on the way to hospital - tend to be prem females, from low socioeconomic backgrounds .
it seems that watso popped out, in the ambulance, just 1km short of RPH, in what was a 8km drive to the hospital.
the last time that watso looked, he had dangly bits, and seems to have identified as male all of his life - so watso failed the gender test. was watso prem??? too late to ask the parents as they are long gone - but that was never mentioned . nevertheless, watso was august born - and possibly a lot of procreational fun times happen during the xmas/new year period - which would result in a september birth .
mmm "low socioeconomic background" - one thing for sure is that watso's parents were not upper class, not middle class .. they were simply post war migrants, who arrived with nothing .
mom stayed home, and looked after the home and the kids - dad went to work. they bought a block for about $100 (ie 50 pound in the old currency) . from memory, as what watso can recall the story - was that the block was paid off in about 6 months - and they bought an old house (house only - ie no block) in south perth, demolished that, and using the materials from that house - they constructed their own abode
