This doesn't affect the policy outcomes, but gives us an even better result. We can accrue all that goodwill without even potentially risking lives with the lethargic speed of migration.
Don't forget I'm not talking about it being an appealing policy to you, or an accurate policy. I'm not debating any of those things, and I have no opinion. I'm telling you that it is a very cheap shout and will help us enormously down the track when we are being put under pressure by Governments that are deluded enough to think Tuvalu is disappearing, regardless of whether it's true or not.
