who is driving this population growth mantra? there is very little public debate about the pros and cons....in Melbourne one big con is that the infrastructure can't keep up and there is underinvestment in water, electricity, public transport etc, I am guessing it's the same in Sydney and the other large cities.....I'd prefer a little quality of life over a crowded, traffic congested city.
