    Also, just for some perspective do some basic chart comparison - for those using E*Trade it's very simple...

    Try plotting these stocks against UMC over the last 2 years... IOH, BRM, FRS, SDL, GBG, AGO, RIO, GBG, MMX, MGX, FMG - I don't think UMC stands out as a poor performer by any means.

    It's important to try and align your expectations somewhere in the vicinity of market reality imo.
