Business Description
Port Douglas Reef Resorts Limited is engaged in tourism and related business activities in Port Douglas, Tropical North Queensland. The company has three operating divisions:
The Rainforest Habitat Wildlife Sanctuary consists of 1.2 ha area of rainforest enclosed in a mesh canopy simulating the conditions needed for the growth of rainforest flora.
Port Douglas Treetops Resort provides 300 room accommodation and three restaurants: an open-air informal BBQ, a seafood restaurant and a more formal signature restaurant, Treetops. A Central Facilities Building comprises a Lobby and Reception, Lounge Bar, Lobby Shop, Administration and house maintenance facilities. The resort also has a large freeform swimming pool and cascades surrounded by extensive tropical landscaping.
The Links Golf Course is operated by Club Corporation under a Lease and Purchase Agreement. The first precinct of prestige residential blocks on the Port Douglas Peninsula with direct frontage to the Championship course will be completed in March 2002.
