Port Lincoln calls for parliamentary review
9 November 2009
A parliamentary inquiry has been called to review the approval process of allowing Centrex Metals to export iron ore from Port Lincoln.
Local councillor Mick Bascombe and Ross Haldane from the Community Action Group are pushing for a review on how Centrex Metals gained approval to export iron ore despite the plan was condemned by groups including the seafood industry.
The push has also been support by Port Lincoln Mayor Peter Davis, ABC News reported.
