Whilst Cape Hardy would certainly feel like going the long way around to get to a port, some additional rail costs could be offset by reduced capital costs and possibly loading/shipping costs as well as reduced project risk if there was an existing deep sea port with capacity.
Any movement followed by action to build a deep sea port in the Spencer Gulf would have significant benefits to many junior resource companies, Hawsons included.
