I FEAR, my erstwhile sparring partner, you are spot on.
When I started off on vessel AIM the auguries looked promising. The buzz among the passengers was the vessel was about to steam forward and make up lost ground. Passenger numbers were down but a new batch had gotten on at North Sound. However it wasnt long before another round of grumbling/mutterings started. People openly asking why the journey was taking so long... didnt the captain have a map/compass or was he simply incompetent ...why were meal times always being put back. As always, passengers who travel light ( and thereby have less to lose ) generally take the opportunity to disembark whilst others who boarded much earlier realise PORT WEALTH is rarely a fortnight trip. Theyve seen this many times before. Indeed, sometimes ending up in Port Regret, when they have taken a precipitate exit, and seen Port Wealth slipped out of their grasp.
Let me tell you Port Regret simply doesnt cut the mustard with Port Wealth. And Port Loss even less so but it is still much much better than Port Ruin. Thats a real dismal place.
