actually your port are fairly decent - they're a stand-alone team and almost folded because of financial problems (stand-alone teams don't have the money/facilities the afl aligned clubs do) - they were founded in 1874.
ex-crows coach gary ayres coached them to the premiership - put a huge hole in the tiger momentum - they expected to win afl and vfl premierships the tigers have bugger all on the injury list so their vfl team was stacked with afl players so other than tiger supporters it was a pretty popular underdog win. your port always had a close relationship with south melb before they became the sydney swans and they had some very colourful characters play for them.
