He is public servant, beholden to the voting public/tax payer. He can expect to be held to the highest standards of probity. Furthermore he can be quite rightly criticised without fear or favour. People like Dutton hold positions that are a privilege, conferred on them by the voting public. He can stand up in parliament and vilify someone without fear of prosecution under parliamentary privilege. What is good for the Goose and all that??!!!
