Will prob be my last reply here for a bit. But yes I started with the classics by benjamin graham, security analysis, intelligent investor etc. I also have a bachelors in commerce.
They emphasise earnings above all, but when i backdated earnings based investments, they were clearly underperforming. Anyways I had some mentors show me the ropes on growth investing.
Understand that earnings can be ignored. Operating expenses that dont scale with revenue will lead to significant operating leverage. This is what makes companies like afterpay such an attractive investment despite growing losses. With a value mindset, you will miss out on these big winners due to being unable to reconcile profit models, as P/E ratios will paralyze you.
based on that, I am pegging CTT and RBL as the next big winners on the ASX in the next 1-3 years.
