Noticed this thread and thought id give you an idea of what is out there.

I do all the asset mgmt for my SMSF myself and tried to do all the port. admin but being in business it was a pain in the butt and too time consuming. I also wanted to be able to easily find out the tax position of my fund before the end of the financial yr (not after) so I could actually maximise the outcomes.

It took me ages but i found a business that specialises in SMSF portfolio admin and now I leave it to them.
They automatically track and report on all transactions (purchases, sales, dividends, contributions, rent on my rental property ect) I can go online at any time and see every investment held and run my own reports (e.g. valuation ,performace, real-time tax ect).

They charge me 0.5% for this and I dont have to worry about notifying regeristries of TFNs, getting dividend statements, tracking costs bases ect ect.(Stuffed if want to worry about that anymore!!)

This software automatically imports into a SMSF accounting package so accountants save a heap of time having to manually key in every transaction. Because of this i only pay my accountant about $2k for accounts and audit.

If value received is greater than cost, im happy.
