BTW spent about 10 years finding the right wife too and found 'a good one' (typical Aussie understatement).

Point is waiting patiently is a sign of maturity. One just needs to know what has in one's hands.

Patience is important, but so are opportunity costs. If you were sitting around waiting 10 years for your wife to come good I'm sure you would have noticed countless other attractive opportunities come and go and many of those could well have paid nice dividends had you not already been invested elsewhere.
