posco acquires stake in iron ore joint venture

    The weekend Australian reports that POSCO, I believe the largest steel producer globally, has acquired a net interest of 24.5% in the West Pilbara Iron Ore Joint Venture (WPIOJV).

    The WPIOJV is currently owned 50/50 between AQA and AMCI. It appears AMCI has sold 49% of its Aussie subsidiary that owns their interest in WPIOJV. A link to the news item follows:
