Bloomberg, citing a report in Platts, reported that POSCO has agreed to pay Anglo American Plc USD 225 per tonne for coking coal in the third quarter, 7% more than in the second quarter.
As per report, the companies have signed the contracts where PSOCO agreed to pay USD 162 per tonne for pulverized coal, a 5% from the second quarter.
The quarterly price increases follow coal supply tightness because of strikes at BHP Billiton Mitsubishi Alliance’s mines in Queensland.
