Valuation is largely based on a company's short-medium term cashflow outlook. Short-medium term cashflow for GXY isn't looking too good after the last quarterly report showed they are going backwards on all metrics.

Assets contribute some part of valuation, but I think people are placing too much emphasis on assets when determining a valuation. GXY sold the northern tenement at SDV towards the peak of the lithium bubble. You can't apply the same valuation technique for GXY's remaining asset at SDV. Also, AVZ has the largest and best lithium resource in the world, but MC is less than $100m. The market doesn't really care about an asset and it's perceived value unless it's producing money or close enough to producing money that you can smell it. SDV is yonks away from producing money. At least 5 years, IMO. That's a long time away. Who knows what the price of lithium will be when it starts producing. All valuations for SDV are based on random prices for lithium. No one actually knows where the price of lithium will be in 5 year's time. So to say SDV may be producing X revenue in X years is pure speculation.
