That's quite funny. When I saw that Vocus was listing via the reverse takeover of FOF I thought wow, this is the opportunity of a life time.
I read through FOF's history and figured that if you had invested in a Wine Fund chances are you don't know who James Spenceley is, nor have much knowledge of the industry, and are wondering wth your directors are doing. I figured it was a good opportunity to soak up Vocus shares before people cottoned on.
So when they announced the nominal issue price was 50c and they were paying 12c/share back to FOF shareholders I bought up as much FOF as I could get on the market, under 60c. Came out with an average price of 45.5c. I think your lawyer friend must have been one of the few other parties who were buying at the time. :)
My only regret is that I wasn't confident enough in it to recommend it to my family & friends.
