I don't disagree with you Chewy, I'm just cynical about the political impetus to get behind geothermal given the electoral clout of the coal industry - from the miners, to the unions, to the workers - they all vote. There has been much platitudes from Rann (SA) and Queensland pollies but no one has had the intestinal fortitude to put their hands in their pockets and steamroll this technology - even though it has been proved. Fortunately generators (investors) like Origin etc can see beyond the next election. By the way, Chewy and co, I'm on your side. I've accumulated gdy for 6 years and am happy to keep 'em in the bottom drawer....
