Well, Regulation 9 has 7 clauses, but it does appear that Minister Yeo is confirming that Lynas will receive an extension for the duration of the review. In particular, I would imagine clause 6 is most pertinent:
(6) A waste generator may apply to the Director General in writing to store more than 20 metric tonnes of scheduled wastes.
Up to Lynas to clarify directly and update the market on yesterday’s effort. Wishful thinking to hope the inexperienced Minister Yeo might have thought to inform them before shooting her mouth off to the press again, I imagine Dr M rolls his eyes every time she speaks.
