the way I see these brokers

some small fundie last year did particularly well on some placements as SP was trading well above placement price when 3B was issued

but for these small fundies, it was prob easier to control who gets the placement & so agreement woulda been in place for selling to take place only at a higher price.

for pattos, it depends on if it's a deal done through the corp finance dept & all desks get the access. brokers themselves may not have any vested interests, all they make are commissions on their clients' participation.

or if it's just a couple of brokers locking up the whole issue themselves with just a number of VIP clients being invited.

it's much easier to control the selling pressure with say 2 brokers locking up $1m issue and only 10 clients were invited to participate

than hundreds of em all in & brokers themselves wont know who the hell has got in & whether their intentions are flipping straight out on 3B or wait to sell when catalyst news transpire.

and pattos do a lot of big $ deals, so more often the deals they do are put through to all desks, ie likely to see some selling pressure on release of 3B.

being a sophisticated investor wont help when it comes to pattos. you gotta really use your brain to pick the wheat from the chaff.

the ones complaining are prob the ones who didnt get to ride ISN, IMC, RXL from last year & RIM/RIMO from a couple of years ago.

there are some massive massive runners in there, you just gotta be the lucky one to have picked it or even more lucky, TO BE PICKED! LOL
