Stokes bolsters Beach stake
Kerry Stokes’ Seven Group has confirmed today it was behind the large purchase of Beach Energy shares yesterday.
Seven bought a 3 per cent stake at $1.635, increasing its stake to 28.57pc from 25.6pc, capitalising on the 5pc drop in Beach shares to $1.61 yesterday.
This is good news for the share price and could magnify a bounce in Beach shares caused by the support for crude oil prices last night.
BPT last up 0.3pc at $1.62
