Political expediency suggests that , after being forced to climb down twice on reductions in welfare for the poor, he is getting a reputation as the hammer of the poor. Not good if you have ambitions to be PM.

He will be heck of a wary that these reform proposals dont bite him. At worst I have a shrewd suspicion they will be watered down and SGH will carry on benefiting.
