I’m not going to teach anyone new to investing like yourself the distinct differences in , terminology , requirements and purposes between a company capital raise or placement and as in this case , retail shareholders requesting with the company to reissue expired options with new options . Existing option holders who can foresee value in the offer accepted the opportunity and those who did not we’re not forced to participate , the company was not reliant on participation or outcome . At no stage was the price set intended to act as a vehicle to raise additional funding , it was set to cover costs and considering that the take up was around 60% , it seems that they got it right without risking loss . Not only did participants benefit , but dilution was kept to a minimum benefiting all holders . Now I suggest you go and do some research and study , otherwise you will make it far to easy for investors such as myself to take your money in the future .
