THERE'S no denying Linc Energy stands behind and trusts its product.
Linc Energy's chief executive officer Peter Bond declared his company's Jet A1 fuel a proven success after the Jet A1 Dash finished its journey across Australia at Chinchilla, where the fuel was produced.
Linc Energy's Chinchilla facility used underground coal gasification and gas to liquids technology to create the fuel.
The Jet A1 Dash journey was the first time the fuel had been used to power a jet aircraft, in this case a Citation CJ2, anywhere in the world.
"This is a proud moment for the Linc Energy team," Mr Bond said.
At a stakeholder gathering in Canberra, Resources and Energy Minister Martin Ferguson said underground coal gasification was about creating clean alternative fuels, and "that is good for investors and jobs in Australia and our energy security into the future".
"Linc Energy is a leader in the field and I give full credit to people like Peter Bond who are prepared to take risks," he said.
"Linc Energy started out as just a small company and people doubted it would grow, but Linc Energy is now kicking goals at home and internationally."
Mr Bond said the Jet A1 Dash flight across Australia demonstrated the feasibility of the company's fuel made via UCG and GTL technology.
"The event demonstrates that jet fuel can be made in Australia from coal resources using processes such as Linc Energy's UCG to GTL technology.
"This was always on our list to achieve and now Linc Energy has achieved it."
