It seems that last night (11 Dec) Ru Fong Feng departed Geraldton Port with the 16th Cargo of DSO.
Ru Fong Feng only came into port ono 10/12, so it was loaded and discharged in around 24 hours; double the rate of the previous shipments.
This is theoretically possible because at 5000 tonnes per hour it only takes 12 hours to load 60,000 tonnes; but it has not been done before.
So the turn around of Ru Fong Feng is another significant demonstration of capability and ability.
In addition the 18th ship has now anchored of the coast, which means there are now two ships waiting to be loaded.
Depending on whether the average cargo is 60,000 tonnes or a bit under dispatch of the 17 or 18 cargo will mark the shipping of 1 million tonnes. For some reason it seems ship 17 is not coming into port today so expect 1 million tonnes to be achieved early next week.
Hopefuly the market will react with more than the usual yawn.
