My take on the 4 months extension is so that they are not bent over a barrel during farm-in/jv discussions ie the extension eases the urgency - the partner has to be reasonable or we have time to talk elsewhere - IMHO.

This is SG's Modus operandi - farm-in/jv (his Orchard days) - this is his Forte. (I hope)

Plus gives certainty to SH's that the leases are retained post March 2013.

March was always going to be THE month for me and many others. Big issue to put to bed for 4 months and now we wait to see how it evolves from here.

Later this month we will have an indication.
