If you own 10 shares in a company with 100 issued shares, then,yes,you DO own 10%, of the Company.

However,IF the Company issues a further 100 shares, increasing the issued capital to a TOTAL of 200 shares, and you,dear punter, still hold a mere 10 shares, then, at that point you do, without argument, hold a miserly 5% of the issued capital....
So you started of with 10% and finish with 5%,and you believe that you are no worse off?

Sure as hell looks and smells like DILUTION to me!!
