MACA sitting comfortably From: AAP January 28, 2011 9:51AM

WA BASED mining services company MACA Ltd says it expects to post half year net profit of $14-15 million, and that the company's full year result will exceed prospectus forecast "comfortably".
In a market update, released today to the Australian stock exchange, MACA said revenue in the half year to December 31 would be $128 million, subject to audit review.

``Following the Board review of the company's preliminary half yearly results, the expected pro-forma net profit after tax for the six months ended December 31, 2010, will be in the range of $15 million to $16 million (statutory NPAT expected to be $14 million to $15 million),'' MACA said.

``Having regard to the strong trading performance in the first half, the company currently considers that the results for the six months to June 30, 2011, are also likely to exceed expectations, assuming no significant changes to or unforseen disruptions in the company's operations.

``The Board of MACA is now confident that the full year Prospectus forecast pro-forma NPAT of $23.1 million will be comfortably exceeded.''

MACA said it would release its first half results on February 21.

MACA listed on the Australian Securities Exchange on October 29, 2010.

At 1037 AEDT, MACA shares had shot up 7.5 per cent, by 15 cents to $2.14.
